Covid 19 Update For Our Customers

Here the Buymyjewellery team we just wanted to give an update in repsonse to the COVID- 19 outbreak as authorities and government bodies ar doing all they can to try to contain the virus.  We would like to reassure our customers that our service is very much business as usual.

We are taking all the necessary steps to ensure our staff and suppliers are safe during this time royal mail has stated that it’s still safe to handle parcels this comes from the Publc Health England. (PHE) Plesae see below there statement.

Public Health England (PHE) has advised that people receiving parcels are not at risk of contracting the coronavirus. From experience with other coronaviruses, we know that these types of viruses don’t survive long on objects, such as letters or parcels. This complements the highly publicised guidance from PHE for people to wash their hands more often than usual using soap and hot water. 

We are contantly monitoring the situation and working with Royal Mail to ensure we are uptdate on any changes that could enure. But would like to assure you that our service is still secure, the only change at present as per royal mail’s website they can’t guarentee special delivery’s before 1pm.

Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm

For items posted from Thursday 19 March 2020 onwards, we’ll no longer guarantee deliveries by 1pm the next working day. We’ll still prioritise Special Delivery parcels and letters and will aim to deliver by 1pm or before the end of day. Resource implications of the latest coronavirus advice means we may not be able to meet the customer promise of guaranteed next day delivery in all locations at all times. 

Our Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am service remains unchanged; we still guarantee to deliver by 9am.

So are are still able to send and recieve pre-paid packs securely as normal we will continue to monitor and liase with royal mail and if anything should change we will let our customers know .

When sending your pack you will recieve your tracking number at the post office so you can track it online once posted and we will also let you know as soon as your jewellery has arrived with us.

Alot of our clients will now be at home and you can make good use of your time, lot of customers have already called us to say they are using there time to de-cluter and to sell old jewellery to raise some much needed cash.

As the risk of contracting the virus from surfaces such as cardboard boxes is mimimal, were still ready to recieve your times it’s business as usual for us.

Our day-to-day lives are about to change – for many they already have – so we’ve teamed up with professional organiser Kate Ibbotson to deliver tips for clearing out each room of your home until the end of April to help keep you busy.
